Abstract

Fix pack for IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, AccessAgent, Version 8.2.2.

This fix pack adds Firefox ESR 45 support with an updated IBM Web SSO Extension. For more information about the extension, see Single sign-on support for Mozilla Firefox ESR 45.

Resolved defects or APARS


The following defects only affect IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager users:

  • Defect
    Session Recording might fail to prompt the user for consent in certain scenarios. Therefore, the targeted application is not recorded.
  • Defect
    Session Recorder fails with PuTTY 0.67. Download the updated PuTTY AccessProfile.

Prerequisites


This fix pack contains the following files:

  • 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0009_32.msp
  • 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0009_64.msp

Before you install this fix pack, ensure that you have installed the following version of AccessAgent:
  • AccessAgent 8.2.2.0183 (GA Refresh with Fix Pack 3)
  • AccessAgent 8.2.2.0195 (Fix Pack 8)

Installation Instructions

Review the following instructions.

Installing the AccessAgent fix pack

  1. Download the AccessAgent installer file from Fix Central into your local computer. For example: C:\Temp.
    • For Windows 32-bit: 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0009_32.msp
    • For Windows 64-bit: 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0009_64.msp
  2. Run the AccessAgent installer file with administrator privileges.
    3. Note: For Windows 7 or later, right-click cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator.
    • For Windows 32-bit: msiexec /p "8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0009_32.msp"
    • For Windows 64-bit: msiexec /p "8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0009_64.msp"
  3. Click Finish. The ISAM ESSO AccessAgent Installer Information window is displayed.
  4. Click Yes.
  5. Restart the computer.
  6. Right-click the AccessAgent tray icon in the system tray and select About ISAM ESSO AccessAgent. The AccessAgent version is displayed.

If you successfully installed 8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0009, the AccessAgent version is updated to 8.2.2.0215 and the AccessAgent maintenance level is FP0009.


Installing the AccessAgent fix pack silently

You can also choose to install the fix pack silently.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have administrator privileges.

Procedure

Use the following script for silent installation on a command line.

Note: For Windows 7 or later, right-click cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator.
  • For Windows 32-bit: msiexec /p "8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0009_32.msp" /quiet
  • For Windows 64-bit: msiexec /p "8.2.2-ISS-SAMESSO-AA-FP0009_64.msp" /quiet
