Optim High Performance Unload performs high-speed, bulk data unloads for DB2 Universal Database™ databases. With Optim High Performance Unload you can unload DB2 data to flat files, tape devices, or named pipes, using powerful and familiar SELECT syntax to specify the columns and rows to unload. You can also create files for multiple targets, even if the target files require different import or load file formats, because Optim High Performance Unload supports multiple formats for output files.

Space requirements

For the approximate amount of memory and disk space that is required to install Optim High Performance Unload on each of the supported systems, see the Optim High Performance Unload hardware requirements.

Downloading and assembling the product

1. Navigate your browser to the Find Downloads and Media page on the IBM Passport Advantage Online Web site. You must log on to continue.
2. Select the Find by part number search option under Download finder options.
3. Search for each downloadable image by part number (parts are listed and described by platform, below)
4. Download all of the parts you need.
5. Unpack each of the parts into a single, temporary directory on your system.
