Abstract
This document describes how to download WebSphere Service Registry and Repository V8.5.6 installation images from the IBM Passport Advantage Online website.
Download Description
WebSphere Service Registry and Repository is a system for storing, accessing and managing information, referred to as service metadata. This metadata is used in a successful service-oriented architecture for selection, invocation, management, governance, and reuse of services.

Space requirements
- 3 GB (3000 MB) of disk space to store the full set of downloadable parts, plus 3 GB (3000 MB) of disk space to unpack the parts
- 4 GB (4000 MB) of disk space to install WebSphere Service Registry and Repository and all prerequisite products, and approximately 200MB of temporary space to run the installation program
Downloading and assembling the product
- Navigate your browser to the Find Downloads and Media page on the IBM Passport Advantage Online website. You must log on to continue.
- Use the Find by part number search option to locate the WebSphere Service Registry and Repository eAssembly for your platform. The part number is provided in the Downloadable parts section below.
- Download all of the parts that you need. The parts are described by platform in the tabbed sections of this document.
- Unpack each of the parts onto your system.
- Follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide to install the product.
