There are important additions and clarifications to the Analytic Server documentation for the fix pack, which are available in the IBM SPSS Analytic Server 2.0 Release Notes.

Installation Instructions

Applying the Fix to an Existing Analytic Server 2.0 Installation

  1. Extract the contents of the Fix ZIP file to a location on your system.
  2. Start the IBM Installation Manager.
  3. In the Installation Manager preferences, add the Fix file system location to your list of repositories.
  4. Choose the Installation Manager update option.
  5. Follow the update path in Installation Manager to select and apply the Fix to your Analytic Server.

Installing Analytic Server 2.0 and the Fix Simultaneously
  1. Extract the contents of the Fix ZIP file to a location on your system.
  2. Start the IBM Installation Manager.
  3. In the Installation Manager preferences, add the location of the Analytic Server 2.0 product repository.
  4. In the Installation Manager preferences, add the Fix file system location to your list of repositories.
  5. Choose the Installation Manager install option.
  6. Choose the appropriate Analytic Server offering to install and proceed to the next step. The Fix will automatically be selected for installation.
  7. Proceed with the remaining Analytic Server installation steps in Installation Manager.

Removing the Fix
  1. Start the IBM Installation Manager.
  2. Choose the Installation Manager Rollback option.
  3. Follow the uninstall path in Installation Manager to select and remove the Fix from your Analytic Server.
