This document explains how to download the IBM InfoSphere BigInsights Version 3.0 products from the Passport Advantage web site.

IBM InfoSphere BigInsights Standard Edition
Standard Edition includes components that are necessary to kickstart your Hadoop project, including development tools, a management console, and cluster management tools. The InfoSphere BigInsights Standard Edition also includes Big SQL, Big R, and BigSheets and it is available for production or non-production environments.
IBM InfoSphere BigInsights Enterprise Edition
Enterprise Edition comes with the enterprise features that enable all roles within an organization to collaboratively leverage Hadoop and big data. This edition includes all of the InfoSphere BigInsights Standard Edition features plus search and data exploration capabilities. The Enterprise Edition also includes limited use licenses to IBM InfoSphere Streams, IBM InfoSphere Data Explorer, and IBM Cognos bundles, the enterprise grade General Parallel File System File Placement Optimizer (GPFS-FPO), adaptive MapReduce, and Text Analytics capabilities that enable the extraction of insights and knowledge from unstructured or semi-structured text. The IBM Accelerator for Machine Data Analytics and IBM Accelerator for Social Data Analytics are also included with Enterprise Edition.
InfoSphere BigInsights Enterprise Edition is available for production and non-production environments. There is also a Developer Starter Kit edition.
InfoSphere BigInsights Quick Start Edition
Quick Start Edition is a non-production edition that supports the features of Enterprise Edition, minus high availability, GPFS, other IBM product bundles, and the accelerators. The Quick Start Edition is not available from Passport Advantage, but it is available as a free download as an installable product or a VMware image:

Downloading IBM InfoSphere BigInsights
- From a web browser, navigate to the Find Downloads and Media page on the IBM Passport Advantage web site. You must log in to continue.
- Under Download finder options, select the Find by part number search option.
- Search for the following part numbers and download the file for the appropriate version of the product.
- Unpack the downloaded file into a temporary directory on your system.
- For installation instructions, follow the instructions in Installing IBM InfoSphere BigInsights.
- For information about the latest version, review the Release notes.

IBM accelerators
IBM accelerators apply advanced analytics to help integrate and manage your data. The following table describes the IBM accelerators that are available for InfoSphere BigInsights and InfoSphere Streams.
