Problem
This technote provides you the steps to install the IBM Rational Rational Robot Virtual User network driver for recording.
Symptom
If you attempt to perform an IBM Rational Robot Virtual User recording using the network method you will be prompted to install the network driver.
Note: You will only be prompted to install the network driver first time you attempt a network recording; once the drive is installed, you will not be prompted again.
Resolving The Problem
Steps to install the network driver:
- Go the Control Panels folder and select and open the "Network and Dial-up Connections folder"
- Select "Local Area Connection", right click and select properties
- From the "Local Area Connection" properties dialog box, select the "Install…" button
- Select the "Protocol" icon then select the "Add" button
- Select the "Have Disk…” button;
- Select "Browse.." and navigate to the "Rational Test" directory
- From the "Rational Test folder select one of two folders; "Driverw2k" (if your operating system is Windows 2000 or Windows NT or "DriverXP (If your operating system is Windows XP)
- Select the "sqa7psen.inf" file and then select "Open" the "OK"
- Select the "Ethernet" version and then Select "Ok"
