PK77029 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) error 480 when running SIP container under moderate load

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of WebSphere Application Server V6.1 and V7.0

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
InterruptedException is thrown when the SIP container threads are working. The Exception causes the SIP container to halt.

RECOMMENDATION:
None

The JVM inside WebSphere Application Server is allowed to trigger an InterruptedException at any stage. However, the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) container code did not handled that exception gracefully and the processing of the SIP requests is paused. Some of the SIP messages will be lost.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The fix will now catch the InterruptedException but will ignore it and will try to finish the SIP request processing.
