Abstract
Error when trying to use ObjectGrid as a SIP Session replication service.
Download Description
PK72195 resolves the following problem:
ERROR DESCRIPTION:
When using a WebSphere Extended Deployment cluster and setting the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) containers to use ObjectGrid as the replication type (rather than the default Data Replication Service - DRS), the SIP container tries to load an old class which does not support the new ObjectGrid replication scheme. This error will prevent the SIP container from loading .
LOCAL FIX:
changing the SIP container code to load the correct class name.
USERS AFFECTED:
Users of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) with WebSphere Extended Deployment V6.1.0.4 - V6.1.0.5 (inclusive) running on top of WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment V7.0 - V7.0.0.1
(inclusive).
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Error when trying to use ObjectGrid as a SIP Session replication service.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
Error when trying to use ObjectGrid as a SIP Session replication service. A class not found exception is thrown during the startup sequence of the SIP container in WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment v7.0.0.1 (when using ObjectGrid) with High Availability enabled. This causes the SIP
Container to halt.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The broken link has been fixed so the SIP container can now access the new code of the ObjectGrid implementation for SIP sessions. Furthermore, some new performance improvements have been achieved as a side effect of this action.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Pack 7.0.0.3.
