PK75602 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
During the install of an application, a SaveFailureException is received during the save of WEB-INF/web_merged.xml.

LOCAL FIX:

PROBLEM SUMMARY:

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of WebSphere Application Server using Enterprise JavaBeans with annotations and using injections.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
SaveFailureException for WEB-INF/web_merged.xml when installing an Enterprise JavaBean

RECOMMENDATION:
None

When installing an application that contains an Enterprise JavaBean that uses annotations and injection, a SaveFailureException may be generated:

org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.commonarchivecore.internal.exception.SaveFailureException:
org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.commonarchivecore.internal.exception.SaveFailureException: WEB-INF/web_merged.xml

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
Code has been changed to properly handle Enterprise JavaBeans that use annotations and injections.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 7.0.0.3.
