This document describes how to download and install IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition using the Passport Advantage Web site.

IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition discovers telecommunications networks, including layer 2 and 3 network devices, interfaces and connectivity, and integrates inventory and connection data with IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus™ alerts. Network management staff can visualize and understand the layout of complex networks, and the impact of network events and failures. Network Manager IP Edition also integrates with IBM Tivoli Netcool/Webtop so operators can work with the alerts to locate, diagnose, and solve network problems in real time.
After logging into IBM's Passport
Advantage Online Web site, click Software download
& media access, then click Download finder,
then select Find by product description and type in
Tivoli Network Manager. Expand the Tivoli Software
eAssembly, and select the images you wish to download from that list.
All Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition download images are described below.

Downloading and assembling the product
- Download all of the parts that you need, both
required and optional. The
parts are listed by operating system in the tabs below.
- Unpack each of the parts into a single temporary
directory on your system. If you want Network Manager to install IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus, do not unpack or rename the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus package.
- Follow the instructions in the Quick Start
Guide to install the product.

There are downloadable parts for each supported platform upon which IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition
can be installed. Refer to the tables below for details about what each part
contains. At a minimum, you must download the required parts.
