Abstract

A NotSerializableException error is repeatedly written to SystemOut.log when using federated repositories with LDAP server.

PK71787 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
During replication of the LDAP cache used by federated repositories, a NotSerializableException is written to SystemOut. This error occurs because an item in the LDAP cache is not serializable.

PROBLEM SUMMARY:

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM® WebSphere® Application Server V7.0.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A NotSerializableException error is repeatedly written to SystemOut.log when using federated repositories with LDAP server

RECOMMENDATION:
None

During replication of the LDAP dynacache, a non-serializable object in the cache causes a NotSerializableException error to be written to the logs.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The problem has been fixed. The error will not be written to the logs.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Pack 7.0.0.1.
