JAX-WS services are unavailable after a JAX-WS application is installed.
PK71913 resolves the following problem:
Problem encountered when installing an application containing a web service-enabled Web Archive (WAR) file, contained within an Enterprise Archive (EAR) file, which contains JavaServer Pages (JSPs). This would cause the JAX-WS endpoints to be unavailable after your application is installed.
This will affect IBM® WebSphere® Application ServerV7 users who try to install an application Enterprise Archive file (EAR) that includes a Web Archive (WAR) file which contains both JAX-WS web services and JavaServer Pages (JSPs).
JAX-WS services are unavailable after a JAX-WS application is installed
If your JAX-WS enabled application contains a WAR file that contains JAX-WS services and JSPs, then you might encounter problems during installation that will cause your JAX-WS services to be unavailable. The problem appears as an ArrayIndexOutOfBounds exception during application installation, and this could cause problems in identifying the JAX-WS endpoints contained in the application. You should be able to see these errors in your server logs or FFDC log files.
This APAR fixes the installation problems.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 188.8.131.52. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
