Abstract

This IBM Rational Portfolio Manager (RPM) migration package allows current customers to migrate their Rational Portfolio Manager from version 7.1.x.x, to version 7.1.1.2

New Features

Migration Package Contents

The standard installation package contains the following:

- Documentation is located under the %MIGRATION_PACKAGE%\Documents directory.
Contains:
- IBM Rational Portfolio Manager 7.1.1.2 IBM DB2 & Oracle installation guides for all platforms
- Installation Guide for IBM Rational Portfolio Manager Webservices API;
- IBM Rational Portfolio Manager & IBM Rational ProjectConsole™ (PjC) integration;
- IBM Rational Portfolio Manager & IBM Rational ClearQuest (CQ) integration;
- IBM Rational Portfolio Manager & IBM Rational RequisitePro (ReqPro) integration;
- Release Notes including IBM Rational Portfolio Manager DB2 & Oracle migration guides for all
supported platforms

Note: RPM installation Guides cover the installation procedures of the database, middleware and the client.

- Database code: Are located under %MIGRATION_PACKAGE%\Database
Contains:
- RPM Code for DB2 (DDL, SQL Scripts, bind files and IBMRPM library)
- RPM Code for ORACLE (DDL, SQL Scripts, bind files and IBMRPM library)
- RPM & IBM Rational Method Composer (RMC) Integration files

- Middleware code: Is located under %MIGRATION_PACKAGE%\WebServer directory of the installation package.
Contains:
- RPM Middleware
- RUP 2003 static content
- RUP 2006 static content
- RPM common reporting middleware


- RPM CQ integration middleware (not required if using the full RPM-Middleware)
- RPM web services (not required if using the full RPM-Middleware)
- RPM web ui (not required if using the full RPM-Middleware)


- Client installers: Are located under %MIGRATION_PACKAGE%\Client_Installers directory of the installation package.
Installers should be distributed to the end-users.

- Post-Migration: A set of layouts, pivots and reports templates are included in the package,
they are located under %MIGRATION_PACKAGE%\Post-migration directory of the installation package.

(*) %MIGRATION_PACKAGE%: The path to where you have downloaded the installation package.

Prerequisites

- Rational Portfolio Manager version 7.1.0.0 installed.
- Installed Rational Portfolio Manager migrated to either Service Release 7.1.0.1 or 7.1.1.1.
- if RPM operates under UNIX environment: Bourne shell interpreter available and shell script of this package set to +x (execute) mode.
