Abstract

VIOS (Doc Number=5763): High Impact / Highly Pervasive APAR IJ04075 IJ04075 - Applications calling __xmbrtowc() may core dump
Applications that call __xmbrtowc() may core dump on the latest Service Packs due to an illegal instruction in mbrtowc_wrap().
We have seen this primarily from applications that use the C++ Class wifstream, which calls __xmbrtowc(). These applications have included IBM Tivoli Monitoring and Microsoft SCOM for AIX.
