Abstract
This SupportPac contains a comprehensive library which adds IBM MQ administration capabilities to Windows PowerShell. It enables administrators to create, display, modify, and delete MQ objects such as queues (local, remote, alias, model), channels (sender, receiver, server, client), listeners, queue managers, and other MQ components through PowerShell cmdlets. The library supports automated MQ operations including message creation, channel management, and queue manager administration, making it ideal for scripting and automating IBM MQ environments in Windows.
Download Description
PowerShell is an extensible command line interface shell and scripting language product developed by Microsoft. This SupportPac contains a library which allows for command-line and script-based administration of IBM MQ queue managers from PowerShell. The DLL provided in this download is compiled for IBM MQ 9.4 LTS, and supports 9.4 LTS and it's subsequent CD releases of IBM MQ versions as well.
It is similar to the standard runmqsc interface, but allows for a number of improvements, including more powerful queries and filtering, support for administering remote queue managers, pipeline integration for chaining commands, enhanced error handling and reporting, and seamless integration with existing PowerShell scripts and Windows automation workflows.
Possible Uses
This SupportPac is useful for IBM MQ administrators who want to administer all of their queue managers from a single Windows workstation, in conjunction with other PowerShell system administration tasks.
You can also build automated monitoring scripts that continuously check queue depths, channel status, and connection health, triggering alerts when thresholds are exceeded.
New in this Release
• New Release
• Supports Versions 9.4 LTS, it's subsequent CD releases and will support 10.0LTS
