Error description

  • The DB2 Object Comparision Tool does not produce the correct
DDL when a table based partitioned object needs to be created.
If the DDL is executed it will fail with an SQLCODE104.

Local fix

  • Correct the DDL manually.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When unique constraints are defined in  *
*                      between columns,GOC generates catalog   *
*                      records SYSKEYS in version file, for    *
*                      V7 and above.                           *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
When unique constraints are defined in between columns,GOC
generates catalog records SYSKEYS in version file, for V7 and
above also .This results in incorrect DDL and SQLCODE -104.

Changes are made so that for Pre-V7, GOC generates catalog
records SYSKEYS and SYSINDEXES. For V7 & above, SYSKEYCOLUSE
and SYSTABCONST catalog records are generated in version files.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been fixed.
