Abstract
The exit routine, ITPGSIPA, can be used to glean the address information from received data.
Download Description
Get the full address of the source for the last data received for Simple UDP or Simple TCP simulated clients by using the Input User exit. It features a Message Generation exit to set the full address for TPNS to use with the next message (or connection).
When called as an INPUT exit, the full INET address for the message being received is saved by Simple TCP or Simple UDP terminals. This exit is particularly helpful in a UDP server environment.
When called as a Message Generation exit, it moves the INET address from Network Save Area 13 into the internal TPNS control block so that the new address will be used for the next message transmitted (UDP) or the next connection (TCP).

Prerequisites
Requires TPNS Version 3 Release 5 Service Level 9711.
Installation Instructions
The link for the ITPGSIPA Job downloads the itpgsipa.bin file. This file has the JCL to link the user exit into TPNS. After downloading, upload it to your MVS host system in binary to a fixed 80 byte length data set to ensure all EBCDIC characters are preserved. Modify the indicated parameters in the Job to match your TPNS installed system, then submit the job.
The ITPGSIPA Information File contains instructions on how to use the exit.
