Error description
DFHSPWBV is checking the MEDIATYPE to determine if it represents text data or not. Only types that are text should allow values for the codepages to be specified. The check is for 'text/', 'application/xml', and the types containing '+xml'. This would have handled the obsolete text/javascript but doesn't handle application/x-javascript as text data.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Mediatype application/x-javascript not * * recognized as text-based media in * * URIMAP definition. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The customer is using a CICS URIMAP to deliver a JavaScript file from the HFS. The URIMAP specifies a mediatype of application/x-javascript. This mediatype indicates that the content of the message (the JavaScript source) is non-binary data. This requires a conversion from EBCDIC to ASCII. However, CEDA does not allow the Hostcodepage or Characterset attributes to be specified for mediatype application/x-javascript. Additional keywords: text/javascript
Problem conclusion
CEDA has been changed to allow the Characterset and Hostcodepage attributes to be set if mediatype 'application/x-javascript' or 'application/javascript' is specified in a URIMAP definition. Data conversion of the body of the static response specified in the URIMAP will occur when mediatype 'application/javascript' or 'application/x-javascript' is set.
