Summary

There are multiple vulnerabilities in IBM® SDK Java™ Technology Edition that is used by IBM Process Designer in IBM Business Automation Workflow, IBM Business Process Manager, and WebSphere Lombardi Edition. These issues were disclosed as part of the IBM Java SDK updates in January 2018.

Affected Products and Versions

This vulnerability affects IBM Business Automation Workflow V18.0.0.0, IBM Business Process Manager V7.5.0.0 through V8.6.0 2017.12, and WebSphere Lombardi Edition V7.2.0.0 through V7.2.0.5.

Remediation/Fixes

The Eclipse-based IBM Process Designer tool includes an instance of the IBM SDK Java™ Technology Edition. In order to provide the fix for this development tool, install APAR JR59231 depending on your edition:

As WebSphere Lombardi Edition and IBM Business Process Manager V7.5 and V8.0 are out of general support, customers with a support extension contract can contact IBM support to request the JR59231 fix for download.

If you are on earlier unsupported releases, IBM strongly recommends to upgrade.
