Fabric probe fails - BTAFM5003E Requests to an SMI agent did not correctly collect a set of switches for fabric <WWN>

Troubleshooting

Problem

Fabric probes fail with the following errors after the principal switch of the fabric is changed. The fabric view lists outdated principal switch information and Unknown condition for a fabric.

BTAFM5003E Requests to an SMI agent did not correctly collect a set of switches for fabric <WWN>

BTAFM5002E The SMI agents https://<Network Advisor IP>:<Port> returned an error or can no longer contact the switches.

Symptom

In the fabric view, the fabric condition is Unknown and displays the old principal switch. No fabric is listed with the new principal switch.

In this example, the principal switch for FabricD changed from BladeCenter to FabricD_Core, but IBM® Spectrum Control® still shows FabricD with the old principal switch and a condition of Unknown. BladeCenter is no longer a principal switch in the fabric and should not be listed. The new principal switch, FabricD_Core, is not listed for any of the fabrics but is in FabricD.
Fabric condition is unknown
