Troubleshooting

Problem

Guardium GUI works fine - but the fileserver url gives "This page can’t be displayed" on I.E or "This site can’t be reached" on Chrome or "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server" on Firefox

Symptom

You are able to Connect to Guardium gui from your browser as normal.
You set fileserver running to look at some log files or upload a patch.
You paste the provided url into your browser where the GUI is working fine

eg
https://<appliance_name>:8445

However - you get the following messages returned from your browser

From Chrome (example )

    This site can’t be reached
<appliance_name> took too long to respond.
    Try:

    Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
    Running Windows Network Diagnostics
    ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

From Internet Explorer
    This page can’t be displayed

Make sure the web address https://<appliance_name>:8445 is correct.
Look for the page with your search engine.
Refresh the page in a few minutes.

From Firefox
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at <appliance_name>:8445.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
