Error description

  • 1. A SHRLEVEL REFERENCE Load produces image copies at the Part
level to datasets that don't include a partition qualifier (the
copy template does not have a partition variable).

    2. A SHRLEVEL REFERENCE Load may not use the correct Storage
Group or PRI/SECQT values when creating a shadow index. This
can lead to a Rename failure in the load job.

    3. On a SHRLEVEL REFERENCE Load, if the Discard dataset
template uses &DB and/or &SN, those names resolve to the shadow
dataset names. This dataset should use the database and space
    name from the original object.

    4. A Policy that sets the Return Code to 0 when certain warning
messages (RC=4) are produced may also override a Return Code
higher than 4 from the utility.

    5. A SHRLEVEL REFERENCE Load ignores the GDGLIMIT variable on a
    copy template.

    6. PRESORT may abend with message 'ABPU5017E SORT EXIT ERROR'
when a NULL-able column with type DATE is included in an index
    and has a NULL value.

    7. SQLCODE -904 on the drop of the shadow database.
The TEMPLATE updates supported by this APAR are:
Rename support for DISCARDDN, ERRDDN and MAPDDN
    Support for GDGs;
Support for the following template variables:
     -object-type variables (&DB, &TS, &IS, &SN, &PART / &PA)
     -&JOBNAME / &JO
     -&STEPNAME / &ST
    -&USERID / &US
    -&UTILID / &UT (8 character utility ID)
    -&SSID / &SS
    Variables that are not supported:
    -&UNIQ / &UQ
    -date / time (&DATE, &TIME, &YEAR, &SECOND, ...)

If the data set name has unsupported variables there will be
the informational message provided on datasets that are not
renamed. The following is an example of this message:
ABPU5561I Template data set was not renamed.
    ABPU5546I Template name: DISC
    ABPU5547I Old DSN: RSTEST.&UNIQ..A7100.ABP2876..DISC3
    ABPU5548I New DSN: RSTEST.&UNIQ..ABS76.ABP2876..DISC3
Use TCZ to generate the DDL to create the table ABPTSPARTS with
the columns for the template updates or optionally edit member
ABPALT03 in the SAMPLIB to alter the table ABPTSPARTS to have
    the new columns.
