    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
During Near Term History (NTH) startup, a KO2H0001W WTOR will
be issued and collection for the DB2 subsystem will wait until
DB2 is active and discovered. The user can reply to the WTOR
to have NTH collection changed to a different DB2 subsystem or
to stop the NTH collection task. If no reply is given to the
WTOR, the WTOR will be deleted when the DB2 subsystem is
discovered or when the started task is shut down. Although
no reply is needed, an option is being provided to bypass
issuing the WTOR and to have the NTH collector wait until
    the DB2 subsystem comes up.

    PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
A new parameter is added to the RKD2PAR member OMPEOPTS. Add
the following to RKD2PAR(OMPEOPTS) to have NTH startup bypass
    issuing the KO2H0001W WTOR.

    NTHDB2I=WAIT

The KO2H0001W WTOR may be issued if the NTHDB2I parameter is
not specified, or if NTHDB2I=WTOR has been specified.
If the NTHDB2I parameter is specified with a value not being
valid (anything other than WAIT or WTOR), the following new
    error message will be issued:

    KO2H0904U NEAR-TERM HISTORY - THE NTHDB2I REAL-TIME OPTION
SPECIFIED IS NOT VALID. NTHDB2I=WTOR DEFAULT USED. (H2INIT)

    Explanation:
The value specified with the NTHDB2I parameter in the OMPEOPTS
member of RKD2PAR is not valid. Valid values are WTOR or WAIT.

    System Action:
Processing continues with the default value of WTOR.

Problem conclusion

  • A new parameter is added to the RKD2PAR member OMPEOPTS. Add
the following to RKD2PAR(OMPEOPTS) to have NTH startup bypass
    issuing the KO2H0001W WTOR.

    NTHDB2I=WAIT
