    ****************************************************************
After applying APAR PM28790, IMS DEDB Fast Recovery(DFR)
    terminates with ABEND U3109 ( ABENDU3109 ) and message DFR3109E
    ( MSGDFR3109E ) under the following conditions:
    - OLDSs are allocated as a DFSMS extended-format, striped data
      set in dual mode.
    - Primary OLDS and Secondary OLDS reside on different volume.

The cause of the problem is that DFR passed a wrong DCB address
for the OBTAIN macro when OLDSs are allocated as a DFSMS
extended-format, striped data set in dual mode.

Problem conclusion

  • By this APAR, DFR passes a correct DCB address for the OBTAIN
macro. And DFR calculates amount of space for striped data set
    OLDSs correctly
