Error description

• Rational Developer for System z (RDz): RDZ client 9.5.1
  receives a NullPointerException when trying to open a
  copybook which is not included in the associated complete
  program.
  This Exception is a result of the failure to locate the copybook
  in the loaded complete program.
  The following error is shown in the .log file:

Local fix

Problem summary

• While editing a copybook that is associated with a complete
  program that does not actually include the copybook, attempting
  to open the context menu results in an error being logged and no
  context menu being shown.
  

Problem conclusion

• Modified the editor code so that no error is logged, the context
  menu shows, and when the copybook being edited is not found in
  the parse stream, a pop up message is displayed.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.5.1.1 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
