PI57269: REORG ABEND 04E-00E40005 IN DSNUGSRP + 0CE4 DUE TO THE ICE046A ISSUED FROM DFSORT 16/02/19 PTF PECHANGE

Error description

• REORG ABEND 04E-00E40005 in DSNUGSRP+0CE4 due to the ICE046A
  issued from DFSORT. Customer ran the REORG with SHRLEVEL
  CHANGE with DISCARD OPTION, but can also happen w/o DISCARD.
  The FILSZ passed to the DFSORT for the Mapping-index is
  not correct.  It obtained the value from the no. of
  records discardded.

  *                      partition parallelism on a partitioned  *
  *                      table space abended with ABEND04E       *
  *                      RC00E40005 in DSNUGSRP OFFSET0CE4 with  *
  *                      the DFSORT message ICE046A.             *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available.         *

  After PI37078/UI30084/UI30085 was applied, a REORG SHRLEVEL
  CHANGE ran on a partitioned table space with the unload/reload
  partition parallelism.  The REORG abended with ABEND04E
  RC00E40005 at DSNUGSRP + x'0CE4' along with the message ICE046A
  - SORT CAPACITY EXCEEDED issued from the DFSORT subtask for the
  mapping index.
  This problem occurred because of a compiler error which resulted
  in an incorrect estimation of the mapping index entry count.
  

Problem conclusion

• REORG code has been modified to avoid the compiler error.
