Error description

  • ABENDS0C4 IPI4PROC at offset x'21d0'.
During report EOD processing IMS PA is scanning the BMP to MPP
program-switch chain and encounters an invalid entry pointer,
resulting in an ABEND S0C4.

During report EOD processing IMS PA is scanning the BMP
to MPP program-switch chain and encounters an invalid
entry pointer, resulting in an abend S0C4.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • During processing of BMP to MPP transactions a message
switch may invalidly be added to the program-switch chain,
this is incorrect behaviour. As the message switch
transaction is freed early in the reporting process,
unpredictable results may occur if an attempt is made
to subsequently access the record.
