PI54606: IBM DB2 NICKNAME SYNONYM CANNOT BE IMPORTED USING DQM OR CAUSE ERRORS WHEN MODEL IS MIGRATED TO DQM

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IBM nickname synonyms (an alias reference to a federated/ remote
  database) cannot be imported into a DQM model.
  When models are migrated from compatible to dynamic query mode
  they either cannot validate objects or cause errors in reports,
  for example:
  XQE-PLN-0011 THE RELATIONSHIP <nick_NAME> COULD NOT BE FOUND IN
  THE MODEL.
  

Local fix

• If suitable
   - use compatible query mode (particular when migrating to DQM)
   - or avoid nickname synonyms by accessing federated database
  directly
