**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All user of HPFPU Hash Check support for * * IMS HP Image Copy in Fast Path Solution * * Pack Version 1 Release 3 (FMID: HAHQ130). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IMS HP Image Copy with Hash Check ended * * with RC=00 even though incorrect DBDLIB * * was specified. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** When the DEDBPC=Y option and the DBDLIB DD statment that has DBD member that is inconsistent with the DMAC of DEDB areas are specified in the JCL of IMS HP Image Copy, the IMS HP Image Copy issues FABA4038E message and skips processing of pointer checking, but the job ends with RC=00 and following message. FABA4000I DBDNAME: dbdname AREA: areaname - DEDB POINTER CHECKER ENDED NORMALLY.
Problem conclusion
The HPFPU Hash Check support has been modified to end with the return code of 02 or the value specified by DEDBPCER keyword when the DBD member is inconsistent with the DMAC of DEDB area. The HPFPU Hash Check support also issues following message for this case instead of FABA4000I. Message FABA4038E provides details of the inconsistency found. System action: Processing continues. Hash check processing for this area is bypassed. User response: Ensure that the DBD is correct for the database. Correct the error and rerun the job.
