PI52677: TIMPORT ENCOUNTERING ERROR OPENING FILE IF .MTS FILE IS IN A PATH WITH ABOUT 176 CHARACTERS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• timport encountering Error Opening File if .mts file is in a
  path with about 176 characters.  If .mts file is in a much
  smaller value of path character size or at C:\ root, then
  timport does not have a problem.

  Problem Description:
  Type Tree Maker/TIMPORT command line utility fails to open .mts
  file if its file path is deeper than normal when importing the
  type tree from the same.

Problem conclusion

• Fixed a problem with Type Tree Maker where it now opens .mts
  file successfully with out any errors when the .mts file path is
   less than _MAX_PATH characters.
  
  Applies to:
  8.3.0.6, 8.4.0.5, 8.4.1.3
  
  Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
