APAR status

Error description

  • PRF V2R2 .BKO dataset exists after Job Cancel but no Backout is
done on Job Restart

Local fix

  • The workaround is to verify whether or not the DFS036I message
has been issued. If it has, delete or rename the .BKO file and
restart the job as you normally would in that situation.
   Be aware that, in this situation, if backout is required, the
backout will not be done. However, this situation is similar to
a system outage. Restarting the abending job step will cause PRF
to run the backout at that time.
