PI49611: WEBSHEET IMAGES NOT DISPLAYING IN TM1WEB

• Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

• Websheet has custom logos.  The four images display fine in
  Perspectives but not in TM1Web.  Only one of the four images is
  displayed. in TM1Web. Only thing unique is the three images not
  displayed do have color.  All four images are the same file
  format.

  * All four images have been saved as JPEG files.               *
  * Among the properties of the JPEG file format is the color    *
  * space: It defines how colors are encoded, if the colors used *
  * in an image are encoded using either the RGB color space     *
  * model or another color space model like CMYK.                *
  * Only the colors of the single JPEG image file being          *
  * displayed by the original websheet are RGB encoded, the      *
  * colors of the three JPEG image files not being displayed are *
  * not RGB encoded.                                             *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * How the issue was resolved:                                  *
  *                                                              *
  * Started by converting the three non-RGB encoded image files  *
  * into RGB encoded ones. This was achieved by using Microsoft  *
  * Paint which opens non-RGB encoded JPEG image files, but by   *
  * default saves them as RGB encoded ones.                      *
  *                                                              *
  * Followed by editing the original Excel workbook: Replaced    *
  * the original three non-RGB encoded JPEG image files by their *
  * modified RGB encoded counterparts.                           *
  *                                                              *
  * Finally replaced the original Excel workbook in the TM1      *
  * application folder by the modified Excel workbook using the  *
  * RGB encoded JPEG image files.                                *

Problem conclusion

• This is not a defect. This is a permanent product restriction of
  TM1 Web Version 10.1 which supports only RGB encoded JPEG image
  files.
