Error description

  • Scenario:

1. Open the CATPart.
>> Workbench is ￭Generative Shape Design.
2. Click the ￭Extrapolate icon.
>> The ￭Extrapolate Definition dialog box appears.
3. Select the ￭aaa/Boundary.1 for boundary.
4. Select the ￭aaa/Extract.2 for Extrapolated.
5. Click OK

Problem:
An update error message is raised
"Extrapol.5: Sweep or loft operator:
The spine is not continuous in tangency, and the result
sweep is invalid. Use a spine that is continuous in
tangency"

The Curve is not Continuous in tangency.

 TECHNICAL EXPLANATION FOR THE CORRECTION:
The Error Message is Thrown by the Sweep Operato.

 ANSWER AND POSSIBLE BY-PASS:
The Error is Caught and a specific error is thrown.

  CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 9 GA level.
NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R8SP05.
