HC91626: ONLINE DOCUMENTATION : RETRIVING CATIA DOC FROM HTTP SERVER ONLY WORK WITH LANG EN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Accesssing Catia online documentation works fine when
  setting path to local directory in tools/option.
  When setting the DOC path to point to a Apache HTTP server
  and using a Language German, Danish (and French), it no
  longer works, and you get an error message.
  When setting the Locale to US English the doc can be
  accessed from the server ok.
  .
  SCENARIO:
  1. Instal the Catia online documentation on a
     Apache HTTP Server
  2. Verify that doc can be accessed from a Internet explorer
  3. On your Catia Wkst,
     set: Control Panel/Regional Options/Locale - to Danish.
  4. Start Catia and Tools/Options/General/DOC path -
     to point to same path as you verified worked in I.E.
  5. F1 to Access doc and you get errormessage in the IE that
     pops up: C:\Documents and Settings\dk12886\
     Local Settings\Temp\cathlp1356.htm  Not found.
  6. In pop up window on Catia a error message:

     Problem in accessing a documentation !
     -------------------------------------------------------
     The URL mapping file was not found
     This file give the html file name
     corresponding to command (LongHelpld resource).
     Please check the files in
     <CATDocView_value>/Resources/msgcatalog/<YOUR_LANGUAGE>
     =======================================================
   the doc can be accessed            using F1
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Retriving CATIA doc from HTTP Server only work with language
  english (default language). If another language is selected
  a error message is returned and the english documentation
  is not displayed.
  

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON
    CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 9 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R8SP04.
  
   In case of HTTP access a check was missing.  The problem is
  fixed.
   If regional setting are set to Danish for instance and the
  only installed documentation is english, the english
  documentation will be displayed.
   If regional setting are set to French for instance and
  installed documentation are french and english, French
  documentation will be displayed.
