Problem
WinCollect Stand Alone deployments are showing errors when trying to open the WinCollect Configuration Console.
Symptom
WinCollect Stand Alone deployments may show below error message when trying to open the WinCollect Configuration Console.
“MMC could not create the snap-in”.
MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly.
This issue has been reported on Windows Server 2008
Cause
Invalid entries were added to the machine.config file during a Windows Update.
