HC89865: USING THE DLNAME MODE, FILE.SAVE AS... USING THE ORIGINAL NAME ENDS WITH AN ERROR, WHILE IN FOLDER MODE, IT OVERWRITES THE FILE

  • In DLname mode:

. File.Save as...
  . keep the same name without modification
    > an error message is displayed
                                                               .
In folder mode:
. File.Open document
. File.Save as...
  . keep the same name without modification
    > the old document is overwritten

  • DLname mode does not support the overwrite capability.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON
  CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 9 GA level.
NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R8SP02
                                         AND V5R7SP07
                                                               .
The error is now corrected: in DNLname mode, saving a document
with the same name will propose to overwrite the existing file.
