Error description

• DESCRIPTION :
  When CATIA opens a specific IGES file (with MM dimensions),
  CATIA interprets the file as a file with Inch dimensions:
  all the dimensions are multiplied by 25.4
  
  STEP BY STEP SCENARIO :
  1. Open with a text editor the IGES file, check that there
  is the following in the file header :2,2HMM  That means that
  the IGES file is in millimeters
  2. Open the IGES file with CATIA
  3. Check that the dimensions are multiplied by 25.4 and that
  in the report, CATIA interprets the file as a INCH
  dimensionned file.

• THIS APAR IS CONSIDERED AS A SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT FOR
  CATIA.
  
  REASON:
  THE IGES FILE WAS NOT COMPLIANT TO THE IGES STANDARD : THE FIELD
  3 AND 12 CONTAIN FORBIDDEN ASCII CHARACTER ACCORDING TO THE
  STANDARD. EXAMPLE FOR FIELD 3 LINE 1 :
  6H00XYZ WHERE THE '0' ARE BINARIES '0' FORBIDDEN BY THE STANDARD
  THE CUSTOMER SHOULD CONTACT EUCLID TO FIX THE BUG
  MOREOVER, WE ARE PLANNING ON IMPROVING THE IGES PARSER IN ORDER
  TO DETECT THIS KIND OF ERROR AND INFORM THE USER OF THE PROBLEM
  THIS IMPROVEMENT WILL BE DEVELOPPED FOR A FURTHER RELEASE.
