Error description

  • CATIA DOES NOT SUPPRESS THE LINK WHEN A PART IN OPENED IN REA D
ONLY MODE IS REMOVED FROM THE SESSION

ABSTRACT: Catia does not suppress the link when a part in
opened in read only mode is removed from the session.
This is a catia infrastructure problem:
here is a new simple scenario to reproduce the bug :
    - in CATIA (no login in TeamPDM), create a new part and save it.
    then
change it's properties to put it in Read only mode
    - create a new product, save it, then insert in this product the
    part yo
    u've juste created
    - then click on this part and suppress it with the contextual
    menu or wi
th the DEL key : the part would have to no longer be in the
    session
    - change the properties of the part and uncheck the read only
    mode.
    - in the catia session, clic FilegOpen and choose your part
    - when the part opens, you can see it still has the flag "
READ_ONLY " (you can see on the high left corner of the c
    atia window)
this may occur troubles when working on file, most of all in
    TeamPDM
where you deal with different status (read only or not) for the
    same
    file

when the CATPart is suppressed from the assembly,
it is not removed from the session : it is still

Be carefull that it really purge the undo data
    .
Customize your CATIA V5 frame by adding the
"purge undo command": In the Customize panel
(contextual menu), select the "Commands" tab page,
then "Edit" category. Drag and drop in your frame the
    command named "Purge undo".
