HC82271: DIMENSION LINE DOES NOT SWAP WITH SNAP TO POINT TO ON.

APAR status

• Closed as unreproducible.

Error description

• Dimension line of dimensions does not snap onto grid while
  creation, nor later if trying to move the dim line with SNAP TO
  POINT to ON.
  Scenario:
  - Set the switch Grid snap to point to ON.
  - Select one dimension.
  - Position the dim-line by cursor vertically
  Result:
  On V5R5: dim-line jumps from grid position to next grid
  position, always snaps on grid point.
  On V5R6: dim-line may be positioned anywhere, but does not snap
  on grid point, as it should.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

•  INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
  In V5R5, dimension line and/or dimension value snaps on grid
  or not according to the generic "Snap to point" setting.
  In V5R6, by default it doesn't snap to point anymore and it
  doesn't follow the "Snap to point" setting anymore.

      CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 8 GA level and V5R7SP04
  
   REASON:
  Since V5R6, there is a dedicated setting to specify whether
  you want to snap or not on the grid.
  You can temporarily toggle between snapping and no snapping by
  holding down the shift key.
  You can also snap the value to its standard position when it
  is between the symbols.
  In Tools/Options/Drafting/Dimension, Move section, you can see
  the option : Activate Snapping (shift toggles).
  .
  If this option is setted to ON, then you will be able to toggle
  between snapping (Shift key OFF) or no snapping (Shift key held
  DOWN)
  .
  If this option is setted to OFF, there will be no snapping
  with shift key OFF and snapping with shift key held DOWN.
