Comments

  • INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
You want to constraint a geometrical element, using the
"Constraint defined in a dialog box" command.
When you exit the panel by on button "Ok", the constraint
is not created. This is due to the fact that you didn't
check the "Create detected constraint" option before
    clicking on the "Ok" button.

     CORRECT APPLICATION:
To allow the positioning of geometrical element without
constraint creation (i.e. parallel lines, etc), the "Constraint
defined in dialog box" command is taking into account the
    the "Create constraint" option.
If this option is off, the constraint is not created, the
elements are just re-positionned. You can turn on/off this
option before using the command, thru the menu Tools/Options/
Drafting/"Geometry" tab, "Create detected and feature based
    constraint" check button.
This option can also be modified, before or during the command,
using the "Create Detected Constraints" icon in the "Tools"
    toolbar.
