Error description

  • Problem Description:
To reproduce, draw lines on a drawing file and put
dimensions. After you plot using the same layout sheet,
measure the dimension. They are all smaller than what you
measured. In some cases, the first time plot seems to be
right, but from the second time, it's wrong.
This problem is preventing us from using CATIA drawings
because in many cases we need 1 to 1 drawings to do
    silkscreen.

you are placing lines on a newly created drawing sheet and
dimensioning them. When the sheet is plotted, in the
first plot the lines measure the actual length they were drawn
and are dimensioned at but the subsequent plots show the lines
being shorter than they were drawn while the dimension value
still shows the length they were drawn at.
    .

    Questions :
How much shorter are the lines in the follow on plots ?
■The lines are about 95% of the original value.
    .
Every first plot is OK and every follow on plot, the lines are
    shorter ?
■Every first plot is OK. If I close the file and open again, the
first plot is OK too. In subsequent plotting, the dimensions
    stay at 95%.
    .
Every drawing you create and place these lines on will do follow
    the
    same scenario ?
    ■Yes.
    .
Different users get the same results, with the same drawing
    sheet ?
■Yes. We have two users and we have same results.
    .
Have the plots ever been OK, all the time ?
    ■Yes.
    .
What size plots does this happen to : A, B C D ?? or all
    of them. ■Letter size.

Comments

  • Physical Margins were note not taken into account in the print
    panel

The margins on the printed document correspond to the
physical margins of the printer .
To modify their values , check whether the modification
is available on the contol panel of the printer

The modification of physical margins directly done with CATIA
has not been planned so far .
