Error: "BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 67s!" on Security Network Protection

Troubleshooting


Problem

On Security Network Protection (XGS) sensors, you might see the error message "BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 67s!".

Symptom

After upgrading to 5.3.0.6 or above, you may see messages in the system messages (by going into the CLI and doing logs > tail -F system) similar to the following:
