HC75218: CATIA VIEWER UPDATE THRU AUTOMATION DOES NOT WORK (VBSCRIPT)

Error description

• Abstract:
  CATIA Viewer update thru automation does not work
  .
  The command MyViewer.Update() does not work.
  Scenario:
  - Open the CATPart
  - Open the Excel file
  - Enable Macros when opening the file
  - Tile Excel and CATIA on the screen so that both can be seen at
  the same time.
  - Click the button in Excel (This will go to the CATIA part and
  change the position of one of the endpoints)
  - Notice the viewer reframe worked, but the geometry did not
  change
  - Run the cursor over the CATIA window .... Now the viewer
  updates to reflect the change
  --> This should happen automatically with the
  Catia.ActiveWindow.ActiveViewer.Update Command
  .
  Below is an exerpt from programming Interface Documentation:

  - Sub Update ( )
   Updates the viewer's contents. Since the viewer is not
  automatically updated after a viewpoint modification (form
  performance reasons), it must be explicetely redrawn when
  needed.
  Example:
  This example updates the contents of the MyViewer viewer:
       MyViever.Update()

Problem summary

• CATIA VIEWER UPDATE THRU AUTOMATION DOES NOT WORK (VBSCRIPT).
  

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON
    CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 7 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED ON V5R5SPx and V5R6SPx.
  
   INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
  No Viewer update after the execution of VSCript commands.
  
   TECHNICAL EXPLANATION FOR THE CORRECTION:
  after the Part update, the visualisation rebuild was not
  trigerred a synchronous way.
  
   ANSWER AND POSSIBLE BY-PASS:
  Visualisation update is now correct.
