HC66345: THE TRIM OF A PROJECTED ELEMENT CANNOT BE DELETED PROPERLY

Error description

  • ABSTRACT: After projecting the circle to the 3D element and trim
    it horizontally, it will be devided in two. If you delete one of
    the trimmed element, both of them will be deleted.
    
    SCENARIO:
     1.From the surface icon, create an offset surface from
       XY plane.(distance=20mm)
     2.Start the sketcher from offset surface.
     3.Create a circle by the circle icon.
     4.Start the sketcher from XY plane.
     5.By selecting the 'Project 3D element' icon project the
       circle to the sketch in step 4.
     6.Create two horizontal line to the element in step5.
     7.By choosing the trim icon, trim the line and the circle.
       Option is trim all.
     8.By choosing the trim icon, trim the line and the circle.
       Option is trim all.
     9.For the bottom circle keep the shape like a crescent.
     ==> If you delete the top circle ( actually a half circle )
         all the projected element is deleted.

  •  It is not possible to delete the arc of circle for model
    consistancy. It is the result of an operation (projection)
     To delete its display in the 3D view, it is posible to
    define it as a construction element.
    
     1. Edit the sketch containing the two arcs of circle.
        (sketch.3)
     2. Select the arc of circle
     3. In the Sketch Tools bar select the icon
         Construction Standard Element.
     4. quit the sketcher
     ==> the selected arc of circle becomes invisible in the
         3D view.
