IBM Support

Large number of "user" event javacores being generated while DataStage jobs are running.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Files such as javacore.20160914.203155.7064.0001.txt are appearing in DataStage project directories and causing disk space issues. Inspection of these files shows that they appear to come from a user-generated SIGQUIT signal, however no such is being sent.

Symptom

Many Java core files appearing in DataStage project directory, however there are no jobs aborting. The Javacore contents show

1TISIGINFO Dump Event "user" (00004000) received
