HC39910: BSJ TRANSFORM ERROR W/ LINKED BSJ/SPT W/ MML

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Position of LINKed BNS are not updated when the SPT is
  transformed, if the BNS are LINKed to a BSJ at a SPT part, and
  also if the SPT part and the BNS are not in the same model.
  .
  Only the geometry of the BNS which is LINKed to the SPT part is
  UPDATEd. The geometry of the BNS s which are LINKed to the BSJ
  are not UPDATEd.  Their position is ONLY UPDATEd if they are
  MODIFied.

  Provided data : a session 420.BSJ.SPT.TRANSFORM.MML containing

  - 420AA0.FB.LOOP.GBN.1 (contains BNS1, BNS2, BNS4, BNS8, SPT3)

  SCENARIO :
  --------
  1) Open the session above
     - Active model should be  420AA0.FB.LOOP.SPT
  2) Transform SPT3
     - E3INSTAL+TRANSFOR+REPLACE
     - Select SPT3 (red one) )
     - type 2,0,0 for translation +  ENTER
     - YES:END ORIENTATION
       > RESULT : SPT is translated
  .
  3) SWAP to model  420AA0.FB.LOOP.GBN.1
  .
  4) UPDATE GBN
     - E3INSTAL+UPDATE
     - YES:LIST
     - Select  ALL  in  ACTIVE MODEL  window
     - Select  OK  in  ACTIVE MODEL  window to UPDATE
       > RESULT: ONLY geometry of *BNS1 is UPDATEd
  .
  5) Modify other 3 BNS
     - MODIFY+BNL SEGT+GEOMETRY
     - Select GREEN BNS (*BNS2)
     - Select  OK  in BNL SEGT PARAMETERS window
       > RESULT: Geometry of *BNS2 is UPDATEd
  .
  6) Repeate for *BNS8 and *BNS4
  .
  EXPECTED RESULT : the BNS which are linked to the BSJ
                    should be updated at the end of step4.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• BNSs linked to BNS1 in MML are not updated
  when the SPT is transformed.
  

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON
    CATIA Version 4 Release 2.0 refresh 2 GA level  (FREL420R2)
  
  The position of LINKed BNS's are now
  well updated when the SPT is transformed.
  Step 4 ends with the four BNS position
  update (BNS1, BNS2, BNS4 & BNS8).
