HD30869: DMUNAV - COMPARE 2D DRAWING COLOR CODE NOT WORKING PROPERLY

Error description

• DMUNav - Compare 2D drawing color code not
  working properly
  Scenario:
  Problem:
  When using Compare drawing tool (V5 DMU
  Navigator DMU.exe), the color
  code (green, red, blue) is not applied correctly.
  Scenario:
  - Open xxx1.CATDrawing
  - Select Compare drawing tool
  - Select layer: Sheet-1
  - File select: xxx2.CATDrawing
  - Select layer: Sheet-1
  - Without panning in the window, the result is as
  follow (red: drawing
  1, green: drawing 2, blue : superimposed
  geometry)
  - Now, try to pan (or zoom) in the window: the
  color code is not applied correctly
  This is a regression from CATIA V5 R12. FIX
  REQUIRED ON V5R14 SP2.
  Expected behaviour: The tool should always give
  nice and clear results.

•  This incident can not be considered as a defect.
  The customer is not using the good methodology to work in
  CATIA V5.
  Incident Diagnosis
  On a CATIA V5 installation, user must not launch
  DMU.exe but CNEXT.exe.
  Moreover, as mentionned in the program directory
  R14 SP3 and in the documentation, Compare 2D is
  available for cgm only on CATIA.
  So, the good methodology in order to use the
  Compare function on CATIA V5 product is: first
  convert CATDrawing in cgm (using
  CATDMUUtility2D batch for example), then
  use compare tool.
  In any case, the use of DMU.exe on a CATIAV5
  installation is not supported.
  You can refer to "Starting a Session on Windows"
  documentation to see all the starting method
  authorized and supported to launch CATIA V5 code.
  Than please refer to "Compare 2D Drawing" in V5
  documentation to see the good methodology to use
  in CATIA V5 context.
