Error description

  • Unsolved operations are not detected in imported
    data
    DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
When you import a configured product structure
where parts of the import file contains unsolved
operations (no modification attached) no unsolved
operations will be found in the Enovia LCA client,
neither for the current user nor for all users.
Because of this many operations can never be
resolved, causing the product to be corrupt after
import. All operations that can be found in the
operations panel when creating or modifying data
using the user interface must also exist for
    unsolved operations in imported data.
This includes, but is not limited to; add constituent
    part, insert instance, authorize specification,
    configure product, authorize expression/inclusion
    rule.
The "edit applicability" function is not sufficient
since it only works for item instances and assembly
relations and even for those it is not good enough
since it is too much work to find all unsolved
    operations by hand.
    .
    Step by step scenario:
    .
    1. Use supplier chain to import a file containing
unsolved operation, like the one supplied with this
    error report.
    2. Start the Enovia LCA client.
    3. Use the operations panel in both product editor
and product class editor. No unsolved operations
will show up for the migrated data.
    .
