HD28379: PART DESIGN : THE PAD CANNOT BE CREATED FROM A SURFACE

Error description

• SCENARIO:
  1) Start CATIA V5.
  2) Open the supplied CATPart file
  WB : Part Design
  3) Click 'Pad' icon.
  >>> 'Pad Definition' dialog box is displayed.
  4) Click 'SRF_1' in the tree as Selection
  of 'Pad Definition' dialog box.
  >>> 'Warning' window is displayed.
  5) Click 'OK' in 'Warning' window .
  >>> 'Pad Definition' dialog box extends.
  Warning Message:
  You have selected a surface / face as profile,
  you must specify a direction of extrusion
  Do you want to define it ?
  6) Select 'Result Y' as Reference
  in 'Pad Definition' dialog box.
  >>> 'Feature Definition Error' dialog box
  is displayed.

  Close 'Desk' window.
  When performing process 3-6 ,
  Pad can be created from 'SRF_6'.

  Set the edges which is extracted
  by 'SRF_1' as 'Extracted'.
  Extract all edges.
  Click 'Fill' icon.
  >>> 'Fill Surface Definition' dialog box
  is displayed.
  Set all edges which is extracted as 'Boundary'
  in 'Extract Definition' dialog box.
  Click 'Ok' in 'Extract Definition' dialog box.
  >>> Pad is created.
  When selecting 'SRF_2', 'SRF_3', 'SRF_4',
  'SRF_5' or 'SRF_6', Pad is created.
