HD27509: WARNING MESSAGE FOR NON CONNEX JOIN WITH FEDERATE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Warning Message for Non Connex Join with federate
  Scenario :
  1. Open the model supplied.
  2. Start the Join command and select circle.1 and
  Line.1
  3. Make "Check connexity" option off and then go
  to "Federation" Tab and select "All" in the combo
  box.
  4. Click Preview and say OK.
  5. The Federated Non connex elements are created
  without any error or warning.
  6. Following Warning Message should pop up.
  (Should be similar to Check Warning)
  Step 7. " Non Connex element Result counts 2
  domains. The shape of this join cannot be used by
  another operator."
  The proposal is to put a warning at the 'OK' for the
  command when user creates a non connex join
  with federation 'all'. An error will not be
  implemented. This warning could be :
  "'All' federation has been applied on non connex
  join. This federation might no be effective between
  non connected sub-element. It is advised not to
  use this federation mode with non connex entities".

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 15 GA level.
  The problem is corrected the pop-up message is
  now displayed
